On Wednesday, June 5 2019, starting at 12.00 p.m., at the Faculty of Law in Rijeka, about 80 participants and media representatives held an introductory conference of the project “Providentia Studiorum Iuris – Improving the quality of studying at law faculties in Croatia” whose coordinator is Faculty of Law in Rijeka and partners Faculty of Law in Zagreb, the Faculty of Law in Split and the Faculty of Law in Osijek, for which three years of implementation were provided with non-refundable funds from the European Social Fund in the amount of HRK 3,543,935.40 HRK.
With the introductory words, the auditorium was contacted by Prof. Vesna Crnić-Grotić, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Law in Rijeka and Prof. Sanja Barić, PhD, Vice Rector for Studies and Students at the University of Rijeka, while the Minister of Administration, Mr. Lovro Kušević, Major of the Primorsko-goranska County, Mr. Zlatko Komadina, Vice President of the High Court of Justice, Mrs. Inga Vezmar Barlek, Vice President of the Croatian Bar Association, Mrs. Nada Badurina, and Head of the Regional Office of the Croatian Employment Service from Rijeka, Mr. Željko Marković spoke about the importance of Law education for improvement of Law profession and public administration.
The project was presented by Prof. Dario Đerđa, PhD as a Project leader, Ines Matić, PhD as Project coordinator, Prof. Nataša Žunić Kovačević, PhD Vice Dean for University Study and Assist. Prof. Vanja Smokvina, PhD, Vice Dean for Professional Study, and in the name of the partner institutions, addressed to Assist. Prof. Marko Jurić, PhD, Vice Dean for teaching of the Faculty of Law in Zagreb and Assist. Prof. Mato Palić, Vice Dean for Business, Development and Projects of the Faculty of Law in Osijek.
